Happy birthday U.S.A!

I am SOOOOO excited to be spending the 4th with family and friends in Boston again this year. There is literally no other place on earth I would rather be for the 4th of July. Incredibly, I never appreciated how awesome the 4th is in Boston when I spent every Independence Day there. It really took moving away to make me realize how special it is to see the Old North Church silhouetted by fireworks going off in the harbor as we did last year from my friend Colleen's roofdeck in the North End. The weather is predicted to be total perfection (which isn't always the case in July in Boston!) and I can't wait to walk around those old streets and soak it all in. This trip is sure to be a little bitter sweet as I know my trips home (yes I still call it home after 6 years!) are going to become fewer with the birth of Baby in the fall. All the more reason to relish in time spent with my brother, parents and college friends. I can't wait!
