Crazy Colorful Swedish Apartment

You're not even ready for the color explosion I've got for you this morning.  This lovely apartment is in Stockholm.  And as pretty as it is on the outside, there's a pretty big surprise inside.

The architecture firm of Tham & Videgard Hansson Arkitekts decided to try something...different with this particular project.

In an effort to tie together the design of the space from room to room, they used parquet flooring - a rainbow of parquet flooring!  Each room in the apartment has a color story and each room's color gently flows out into the next room where it turns into a whole other color.

The floor plan illustrates the theory...

...but the pictures are pretty much mind blowing.  I'll shut up now and let you ogle with me.

Are you still with me?  Or have I completely singed your retinas with these photos?  I'm thinking you need all white/neutral furniture and decor to live in this apartment and really very little of it, otherwise you are bound to have a stroke when you walk in.

Could you live in this place?  It would be like living in a permanent art installation.  And while I don't think it's for me, I have so much respect for the crazy, creative minds that can dream up such a thing.
