Dear glass gourd lamp I spied at Target on Saturday,
You are so pretty in your smokey glass shape. I can just see you all dolled up in a white drum shade trimmed in black, looking all smart and sophisticated.
But there was only one of you. And I have a weird OCD thing about buying lamps in pairs. Y'know on the off chance that someday in the future I'll want another one of you for that perfect console table or something. (note to self: this is sounding less like OCD and more like hoarding).
You were only $39.99. Maybe I'll fight these hoarding tendencies and get you all by your lonesome anyway. But I'm sure I'll go back and you'll be gone. And I'll forever walk the aisles of Target kicking myself for not just getting you when I saw you.
