Bold, Geometric Rugs

When it comes to rugs, I seem to gravitate to bold colors and patterns. Here's proof. These can be tricky to make work in a room where there's a lot of other stuff going on. I imagine they'd work best in a space where they really get to take center stage. Such restraint is not my forte. I have to depend on Nicole to reign me in in these cases.

Aren't they fantastic? I love these in every color available but I think the blue is my favorite. The yellow would be but it seems a little too buttery. If it was more of a sunshine yellow I think it would take the prize. The lavender would be adorable in a little girl's room. And while I love how bold the navy one is (that's navy, not black in the lower right corner), it would be a complete nightmare to keep clean with our dog. At 30% off (+ free shipping) it's only $280 for a 7'8" x 10'9" rug. That would be pretty much perfect in our playroom/media room. It's described as "100% nylon". I wonder if that's bad?

Here are some others that I love:

Another fantastic kid's room/playroom option. This one is "100% New Zealand wool" for whatever that's worth so it's substantially more expensive than the others. I love it but I'm afraid it's too expensive and too kid specific. For me, a rug has to be either kid specific but not expensive so I don't have to worry about play-do getting mashed into it OR I can deal with expensive but not kid specific. Basically I need to be able to convince myself that I could use it elsewhere in the house.

Great, fun colors. Love the geometrics going on here. But it says it's 100% acrylic. What does that even mean I wonder? Does it not feel good underfoot?

100% wool flatweave. It's actually described as a dhurrie which can mean it's a little scratchy so not great for somewhere you plan to lounge on the floor a lot.

Is chevron out? Did I miss the memo on that? Because I still love it. And with the 30% off, the 5'x8' is only $115 + free shipping! Again 100% nylon. If you know anything about rug materials out there, can you explain?

Love these bold stripes and it comes in so many colors, you're bound to find one that works with your decor.

I love this hit of pattern but because it's gray it's still pretty neutral.

This is listed as orange but it's looking pretty tan to me. Either way I love that it's a traditional pattern done in a more modern scale.
