Fluffy, Furry, Fireplace

Hello Everyone!

If you read my previous post then you know we are

anticipating a new family room furniture delivery soon.

In the meantime I decided to fluff up the fireplace and mantel.

Boy am I glad I did...:) For those of you that think I'm such a

good housekeeper think again. It was covered with filth, cat fur

and even a dead spider or two. Oops! I think it was time. Ewww.

Here it is all spruced up!

I added a green fleur de lis plate from Kirklands.
The green jar topiaries are from Home Goods.
This painting inspired the color scheme for our entire home.
I added some bunches of ivy from Kirklands for softness.
The ginger jars and green grass are also from Kirklands.
Leaf candlesticks and a scroll candle are grouped in threes.
This is aways a nice number of items for a vignette.
The light was really pouring in today.
We have some snow on the way though. Brrr...:)
Green will be my accent color when we get the new furniture.
It's good to have a trio of colors when decorating a room.
I can't wait for the new stuff! Can you tell I have zero patience?
Chestnut is waiting for it too...Silly boy.
