I'm a little nuts when it comes to bins and basket and general containers to hide all the unsightly junk and 1/2 complete project supplies I accumulate around the house. I love a great woven basket or a colorful bin. Here's a quick look around the web at some of my favorites right now.
1: Tub Trugs : Super flexible, virtually indestructible, available in 10 happy colors and 6 sizes and shapes. I can think of a dozen different ways I could use these right this second (baby tub, laundry basket, toy storage, mudroom catchall, ice bucket...seriously, should I keep going?)
2: Rugby Stripes Bin via The Container Store : From the masters of all things container comes this great looking gray & white striped bin. I love the rope handles and the graphic punch these would add all lined up in a bookcase.
3: Smith & Hawken Woven Basket with Chalkboard via Target (sold out online but still available in some stores) : I actually own this beauty (2 to be precise) and I LOVE how big and well constructed it is. It's got great, straight edges that let you line 2 or 3 of them right up against each other. No wasted space.
4: Klein Straight Wall Bucket : This whole line of containers is new to me but I've been seeing them pop up on some of my favorite blogs. I love the rugged but sophisticated look of the whole line. The straight wall bucket featured here is 15" high. I want to hang 2 of them off some rough and rugged looking hooks like these. Great in a little man's playroom.
5. Rubber Barrel Bin via The Container Store : Traditional shape, totally nontraditional material. It would be a great firewood holder in a really modern loft.
6: Susan Kasler set of 3 Woven Baskets via Ballard Designs : I loved these baskets from the moment I saw them in my Ballard catalog. I wish they were sold individually in addition to a set of 3 because I really just want the great big one.
7: Senegalese Storage Baskets via Serena & Lily : I must figure out how to get one of these baskets into my life. You know I love the similarly styled Swahili Imports baskets. Well these are like their cooler big sister. I can't even pick my favorite though I think it's somewhere between the white with pink zig zag and the yellow with pink dots. NEED!
