Knox's Highchair - Boon Flair

I had a couple of emails from readers asking about Knox's high chair that you can see a peak of in our new breakfast nook area here. His highchair is made by Boon. We are big fans of Boon products in general around here. They are well designed and I love their modern, clean aesthetic.

We have the Boon spoon which is great for travel. I usually use it for yogurt snacks on the go (make sure to slide it into an insulated sleeve to keep it cold).

We have the Boon lawn countertop drying rack. It works great and looks cute on the counter.

And I totally swear by these screw on Boon spoons that fit on both Plum Organics pouch foods as well as Ella's Kitchen and Happy Baby. They make feeding on the go so simple, I love them!

I had originally planned on getting the IKEA Antilop highchair. $19.99, simple and easy. But, as is the case with babies, Knox went from not needing a highchair at all to me not being able to live without one overnight. And since we are 2.5 hours away from IKEA, I had to find another solution asap.

Enter the Boon Flair Highchair (cheapest price I found was here).

My requirements for a highchair were simple:

1. No fabric: I didn't want any padding or fabric that could get dirty during messy feeding times. That's just one more thing to wash...no thank you.

2. Wipe-ability: Crushed bananas and puffs, sneezes with mouthfuls of food...it just happens. I wanted something that I could easily wipe down with a damp paper towel. Minimal crevices for food to get trapped in & smooth surfaces were a must.

3. Wheels: Easy enough...I wanted to be able to move him around the kitchen as necessary.

4. Tray I could work with 1 hand: If you're a mom, you know you never have 2 hands to do anything!

The Boon Flair met all these requirements and then some! It looks great (Knox looks like a cute little Jetson in it) AND it has a pneumatic lift mechanism which I never would have known to want but it's super useful. I can lower him to sit at the table with us or raise him and pull him up to our kitchen island.

We love it!
