Music news!

I enjoy a very wide spectrum of music. From Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, all the way to Marilyn Manson and Rammstein.

Firstly, I wanted to show you the preview of the making of of the new Nightwish's album Imagenaerum, which will come out in November. My patience is pretty at the end when it comes to this album, because it's something new to release an album following by a movie, which is actually a PART of the album. Really curious how this will turn out. So, here goes the preview:

Amazing, right? But no matter how hard I try, I really cannot stop imagining Tarja in this project. I know that six damn years have passed since they've split, but I still enjoy her voice more in this band than Anette's. And Anette is not bad, she has her own style, but I still mourn over the split. Unfortunately.

Tarja has also released some big news. I don't know if you've heard, but she founded another band beside her solo career, and it's called TARJA TURUNEN & HARUS. Here's what the official statement says:

"There is an old Finnish tradition when it comes to newborns – the baby is not to be named until the baptism ceremony, when he or she is presented to the family with the chosen name.
A few years ago, in 2006, a new project from Tarja was born and, following the same tradition, the time has come to baptize it, to make the presentations to the family and to give it a name – HARUS.
HARUS is a rather peculiar, uncommon Finnish word that describes the four tensors that keep a tent together or the tensor that keeps the mast from falling in a sailing boat.
Both of the meanings apply to this musicians line up: four members, four equals, four different backgrounds to tie together exquisite classical music developed strongly and in a very stable way, with a taste of experimental, modern feel.
The ever-changing waters HARUS sails on promise a unique feeling and combination for each program.
HARUS are:
Tarja Turunen : Vocals
Kalevi Kiviniemi : Organ
Marzi Nyman: Guitar
Markku Krohn: Percussion
Let’s give HARUS a warm welcome and expect further news very soon!"

I'm really dying to hear what they will sound like!

And then, one more thing which has been awaited for a pretty long time. New Evanescence album. It's simply called Evanescence, and the sound is completely new and pretty strong. I'm listening to it just now, and I actually cannot say exactly how I feel about it because I still didn't give it a deeper thought, but I like it so far. :) Well, it's not gonna be a failure for sure.

The newest video for the "What You Want" song:

And a little description on the album by the band:

I also have to say that I really like the new visual style, and the logo (click here to see what I mean :P). They stayed true to their old style, but also brought some freshness to the whole picture. I like! :)

Have a nice start in the weekend! And enjoy some new music! :))

Aleksandra.
