Probably you all have already noticed, because it's spread all over the net - the new video of Beyoncé's live performance of the song "I Was Here". As usually, I got notice of it way too late, and that is also why I'm writing about it just now.
Although I am not a fan of hers at all, I have to admit that this song has really touched me. Throughout her whole career I never had a song that I really liked, she simple never appealed to me. There were also times where I found her very annoying and couldn't stand her, but for this song, this very song, she's getting some standing ovations from me.
Firstly started from the lyrics... I think the whole message is very beautiful. None of us wants to be forgotten, and it's really painful when you realize that one day it's gonna be like that, unless you write some awesome history. But we are here to enjoy our days to the fullest. And appreciate it. :)
The video is very well done, with all those sequences of her life, starting from when she was very, very little, all the way to today's successes. It gives that drama and emotional feeling. I really like it.
