Laundry

Don't you just love the smell of freshly washed clothes? Those beautiful photographs by Sivan Askayo are part of an ongoing laundry series that began in the vibrant alleyways of Tel Aviv and took her all around the world including London, Madrid and even Florence. Sivan believes that there is something very personal and private, yet so public about laundry. As much as we don’t want to admit it, laundry tells of people's intimate lives and their families. It really makes sense, doesn’t it?

I remember a few years ago while on a trip in Venice, Balazs and I had tons of fun spotting outdoor laundry lines hanging from each building. It’s such a typical sight in the city. Don’t you just love those photos? xo
