Living With Neil - The Lion

Jeepers, how would you fancy having a lion for a pet? Might be a bit scary but it surely looks fun. In the 70's Melanie Griffith's mother, Tippi Hedren created the Shambala Preserve where their goal was to rescue exotic cats that have been abused. During that process Melanie's family got incredibly attached to this adorable fella named Neil. He practically became a loving part of their family, isn't that sweet? The image of the maid trying to hop over him in the kitchen makes me giggle each time and the one of Tippi reading a newspaper while lying practically on the lion is strangely heart-warming, isn't it?

Lovelies, what unusual pets do you have or had in the past? Do tell! xo

Audrey Hepburn And Her Baby Deer

Crikey, how heart-warming are those photographs of Audrey Hepburn and her pet baby deer named, Pippin? I remember as a child wanting to have a pet penguin and used to daydream how I would keep him all cool and comfortable in my parents tub. Oh boy, somehow later on I got convinced that having a dog can also be fun and now Balazs and I have those two rascals. Lovelies, how about you? Do you have a dog, a cat or maybe a gold fish? What pet did you dream of having as a child? xo

P.S: Also, do you remember this cool fella?
P.P.S: How about this cutie!

Go Pandas!

Just a short few days ago twelve irresistibly precious panda cubs made their first public appearance at the Chengdu Breeding and Research centre in China since their birth a few months ago. Their arrival is considered a major breakthrough for the scientists who monitored the pandas 24 hours a day throughout their pregnancies. Pandas need all the help they can get as they are an endangered species because of the deforestation in their native China. In 1987 the Chengdu Research centre started with just six pandas and now the number increased to 108. Go pandas!!! Lovelies, aren’t they something? xo

P.S: Fun fact: Pandas are very picky earters who only feed on bamboo and in the wild they spend at least 10 hours a day choosing the best bamboo. (giggle)
