15 Minutes To Total Scrumptiousness

If you are looking for a last minute Valentine's Day treat idea, this just might be it. Heather says that it takes only 15 minutes to whip up a whole baking pan of those chocolate donuts with the most adorable colour of orange glaze. Bonus, they are much healthier than the regular ones as they are baked, but equally moist and yummy. Oh and don't forget to triple dunk them before eating :)

Italian Romance

Oh my, Asiago Plateau must be the most romantic little town I've ever seen! It's located in the Province of Vicenza, Italy and besides making people swoon each winter over that mystical fog, it's also famous for the delicious Asiago cheese. Looks like a place totally made for romance :)

Love Ever After

Crikey, how sweet are those couples? Lauren Fleishman is the photographer behind this heartwarming series of New York couples who have been together for more than 50 year. After her grandfather's death, she found a bunch of love letters he wrote to her grandma during World War II and that inspired her to create a diary with love stories of couples who truly know a thing or two on the subject as they have been together forever. Such a beautiful project on what makes love last!

Six Takes On Romance

This year, Balazs and I wanted to mix things up a bit, so we agreed to surprise each other with some type of experience instead of an actual gift for Valentine's Day. Nothing over the top or super expensive, just something that we know will make the other one's day. So, I've put together a few things that I think would make any girl happy and if you like any of it, you are welcome to hint it gently to your boyfriend/husband.

First up, open a fresh flower account in her favourite flower shop. It can be for a month, few weeks or even a year so she can simply pop in there every few days and choose a bouquet she fancies the most.

Whip up a breakfast of Valentine’s Day egg in the basket. Here is the full how to of this scrumptious toast. (This will make it easier and heart milk cubes would add a sassy finish to the whole meal).

Instead of sending flowers how about a giant heart balloon with a romantic personalized message? Bonus: it's all hand-delivered by a balloon trooper on the day. Perfect way to make her busy day extra special!

A romantic dinner date, for just the two of you. It can be one of her favourites spots, a brand new place she can't wait to try or a dreamy floating dining experience in Vancouver that she has bookmarked for months in her calendar.

Ask her to take a day off from work & spend the day together dancing in the kitchen to your favourite songs, playing board games, watching old movies (or romantic comedies), eating chocolate and smooching the day away in pj's and cozy socks:)

A winter picnic with hot wine, cheese, warm blankets and freshly baked bread in the spot you met or the place that means the world to both of you.

Romantic Tree Camping In Germany

For those of you who would like to try something a bit different this Valentine’s Day, how about sunset tree camping on top of a Bavarian mountain summit in Germany? Just imagine spending the evening listening to the soothing sounds of nature, cuddling up with your husband/boyfriend under a cozy blanket and getting lost in the most amazing view from up above! Heart-Shaped Elbow Patches

Speaking of adorable, how would you fancy sassing up your favourite top or a cozy sweater with a pair of heart-shaped elbow patches? I'm all for snazzy patches and those are simply perfect not only for Valentine's but forever. Heart Milk-Cubes

Crikey, how sweet would it be to add those little heart milk-cubes to your husband's/boyfriend's morning cup of coffee, glass of hot milk with honey or even a bowl of cereal? Balazs drinks coffee with me each morning so I just might surprise him on Valentine's Day morning with a special cuppa like that! xo

Le sigh!

Le sigh, how romantic are those photographs? I'm simply head over heels smitten with this sweet collaboration between the fantastic duo of  Scott Schumann and Garance Doré and the iconic Tiffany. The amazing pair was asked to capture all those little tender gestures and special moments between two people in love for the 'what makes love true' campaign. I think they nailed it! (Btw: if you fancy, you can also upload your own romantic photograph on the site and include a little caption).
